Trading is risky
Trading forex, CFDs, futures, options, cryptocurrencies and other leveraged products carries a high risk of losing money quickly. Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains, and you can lose more than you deposited with some products and brokers. Most retail traders lose money. Only trade with money you can afford to lose, and get independent advice if you are unsure.
What SetupBook's numbers mean
- They describe the past. Win rate, profit factor, expectancy, drawdown, R multiples and every other figure are calculated from trades already taken. Past results do not predict future results.
- They are only as good as the data. Figures come from what you enter, import or sync. Missing trades, wrong prices, fees, swaps, commissions, currency conversions, partial fills or delays in a platform's data change the results. Check important figures against your broker's statements.
- Calculators are aids. The position size and risk calculators apply the formulas shown to the inputs you give. Contract sizes, pip values, margin and rounding rules differ between brokers and instruments. Confirm with your broker before you place an order.
- Prop firm tracking is a guide. Daily loss limits, drawdown and exam targets are calculated from the rules you enter. Your prop firm's own rules, calculations and decisions always prevail.
- Psychology statistics are correlations. Links between sleep, mood or mistakes and results show patterns in your data, not causes.

Trades shared by other users are their own records. We do not verify them, and they are not endorsements, signals or advice. Shared cards may leave out details such as account size, fees or other trades.

Articles, glossary entries and comparisons are general information for education. They may be incomplete or out of date. Product facts on comparison pages are checked on the date stated on each page and can change.
