Most of SetupBook is private: a journal is visible only to its owner. The exception is shared trade cards, public pages at setupbook.io/s/... that a user creates for one trade. This page explains how to report one, or anything else on the site, and what happens next. It is our notice and action procedure under the EU Digital Services Act and our copyright policy under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

How to report

Send an email to hello@alaz.pro with:

  1. the exact address (URL) of the content;
  2. why you believe it is illegal or breaks our terms, with enough detail for us to assess it without a legal review of our own;
  3. your name and email address (you may report child sexual abuse material anonymously);
  4. a statement that you believe in good faith that the information in your report is accurate and complete.

We confirm receipt, and we tell you our decision and whether you can challenge it.

What we do

  • We review every report promptly and objectively, by a person, not by an automated system.
  • If the content is illegal or breaks our terms, we remove it or disable access to it. For serious or repeated violations we may suspend the account.
  • We tell the user who shared the content what we did and why (a statement of reasons), unless the law prevents it.
  • If content involves a threat to someone's life or safety, we inform the competent authorities.

If you believe content on SetupBook infringes your copyright, your notice should include: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the work you claim is infringed; the URL of the infringing material; your address, phone number and email; a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

If your content was removed after a copyright notice and you believe this was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; and consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and to accept service from the person who made the original notice.

We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe.

Appeals

If we removed your content or suspended your account, or did not act on your report, you can ask us to review the decision within six months by replying to our email. A different person reviews the appeal where possible. Users in the EU can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or to the courts.

Misuse of reporting

We may stop processing reports from people who frequently send reports that are clearly unfounded, after warning them.
