SetupBookFree, every feature; no paid plan todayBest forTraders who log by hand or import a file, want the math done right and want to see what their mistakes and their own state cost them. Forex, crypto, futures and prop accounts.
TradervueFree up to 30 trades a month; Silver $29.95, Gold $49.95 a monthBest forUS stock and options traders who want deep reports and mentor sharing, and do not need a phone app.

Tradervue is the oldest name in trading journals, started in 2011 and still one of the deepest for US stocks and options, with over a hundred reports, exit analysis on its Gold plan and sharing with mentors. It has a free plan capped at 30 trades a month. SetupBook is a newer, free journal with no trade cap, built for traders who log or import their own trades in forex, crypto, futures and prop accounts.

The short answer. For US equities and options with years of history and mentor sharing, Tradervue is the specialist. If you take more than 30 trades a month, trade other markets, or want mistake costs and prop limits without paying, SetupBook covers more for free.

Which one to pick

Pick Tradervue if you trade US stocks or options, value its reports and mentor sharing, and either stay under 30 trades a month or pay for Silver or Gold. Pick SetupBook if you trade more often, trade forex, crypto, futures or prop accounts, or want exit analysis, prop limits and mistake costs without a subscription.
