Questions about the trial, refunds and the AI
Do I need a card for the free trial?
Yes. The card starts your 14 days of Pro, and nothing is charged during them. Cancel in Settings → Subscription before the 14 days end and you pay nothing.
What happens when the 14 days end?
If you keep Pro, the monthly price is charged and Pro renews every month until you cancel. If you cancel, your journal moves to the free plan for good: 30 trades a month, two accounts and the last 90 days of numbers. Nothing you logged is deleted.
Can I get my money back?
Yes. Ask within 14 days of any payment, a six-month or yearly one included, and you get it back in full, no reason needed. The refund policy says how.
Why is the price in my currency?
Prices are set for each country and include local taxes where they apply. Paddle, our merchant of record, takes the payment, works out the tax from your billing address and sends the receipt.
Can I move to a longer period later?
Yes, in Settings → Subscription. Paddle shows what the change costs before you confirm. Invoices, your payment method and cancelling are there too, under Manage subscription.
Will the AI tell me what to trade?
No. It reads your own past trades, with the numbers SetupBook worked out, and tells you what worked, what cost you and what to work on. It never suggests buying or selling anything, and it is not investment advice. Every line shows the trades behind it, so you can check it.
What does the AI see of my data?
When a review is written, a summary of your trades and your notes, cut short, goes to Google's Gemini. It is not used for ads or to train Google's models, and your name, email and account numbers are never sent. You agree once, before your first review.
