SetupBook and StonkJournal compared: free plans, the $10 Pro plan, import, AI, risk rules, prop limits, mistake cost and psychology, from StonkJournal's site.

by ALAZ.Checked

SetupBookFree, every feature; no paid plan todayBest forTraders who want the math done right and want to see what their mistakes and their own state cost them, whether the trades arrive from MetaTrader, cTrader or an exchange, from a file or by hand. Forex, crypto, futures and prop accounts.
StonkJournalFree; Pro $10 a monthBest forStock and options traders who type their trades and want a free, fast journal with risk rules, and cheap AI later.

StonkJournal and SetupBook both believe a trading journal's core should be free. StonkJournal offers unlimited trades and accounts across stocks, options, futures, forex and crypto, fast manual entry, ten types of risk rules and an offline-first app, and charges $10 a month for smart import and AI. SetupBook is free in full, including live sync from MetaTrader, cTrader, Bybit, Binance and OKX and file import, and focuses on computed numbers, priced mistakes, prop limits and the trader's own state.

The short answer. If you trade US stocks and options, want an AI coach for $10 a month later, and like an app that works offline, StonkJournal is a good fit. If you want live sync or file import, exit analysis, mistake costs and psychology measures without paying anything, SetupBook includes them.
