SetupBookFree, every feature; no paid plan todayBest forTraders who want the math done right and want to see what their mistakes and their own state cost them, whether the trades arrive from MetaTrader, cTrader or an exchange, from a file or by hand. Forex, crypto, futures and prop accounts.
TradesVizFree (stocks only); Pro $19.99, Platinum $29.99 a monthBest forStock traders who want a free plan with sync, and data-heavy traders who want hundreds of statistics and AI on a paid plan.
TradesViz is the journal with the most statistics: hundreds of charts and tables, automatic sync, an AI coach, backtesting, trade replay and simulators, and mobile apps for iOS and Android. Its free plan is generous for stock traders and limited to stocks. SetupBook is free for every market, simpler by design, and focused on accurate numbers, mistakes and the trader's own state.
The short answer. If you trade stocks and want the free plan with sync, or love data and will pay for Pro or Platinum, TradesViz offers more features than almost anyone. If you trade forex, crypto or futures and do not want to pay, SetupBook covers those markets for free with a calmer interface.

Where TradesViz is the better choice
- Breadth. A very large library of statistics and charts, a customisable dashboard, and AI tools (Coach, Query, Chat, summaries) on the paid plans.
- Sync from brokers, and a free plan that includes it for stocks.
- Backtesting, replay and simulators. SetupBook has none of these.
- Mobile apps for iOS and Android.
- Options. A strong area for TradesViz; SetupBook has no options model.
Where SetupBook is the better choice
- Every market free. TradesViz Basic covers stocks only, on one account; forex, crypto, futures and options need Pro ($19.99 a month) or Platinum ($29.99). SetupBook covers all of them, on unlimited accounts, at no cost.
- A focused interface. Fewer screens, each built around one question. Reviews of TradesViz often mention how dense it is; SetupBook leaves things out on purpose.
- Discipline against equity. SetupBook draws the share of clean trades under the equity curve so you can see rule-breaking start before a drawdown.
- Psychology. A morning check-in and calm-at-entry rating read against results in four charts.
- Prop firm limits with warnings in the trade form before a trade would break them.
- English and Turkish.
What a year costs
Moving from TradesViz to SetupBook
If you export your trades from TradesViz as CSV, import them in SetupBook with column mapping: assign the columns, preview, import. Duplicates are skipped. MetaTrader, Binance and TradingView files can also be imported directly from the source.
Which one to pick
Pick TradesViz if you trade stocks and want a free plan with sync, or if you want the deepest statistics, AI and backtesting and will pay for them. Pick SetupBook if you trade forex, crypto, futures or prop accounts, want every feature free, and prefer a journal that shows a few numbers clearly over one that shows everything. The user guide has a demo account to look around in.
